Roper Hall, part of the Scream pub chain, is having £400,000 spent on a fair bit more than a lick of paint.

Behind the scenes pictures show the extent of the work taking place inside the venue.

Set over two floors on Friargate the venue has been ripped apart and put back together again.

It’s due to reopen on Friday 29 January.
