A bag containing a pair of jeans, sunglasses, a backpack, a tablet device, a torch and a charging lead was seized following the arrest of three men and a woman.

DC Justin Singleton from Preston CID said: “It is really good news that we have been able to recover this haul, however we haven’t had any reports of these items being stolen so it could be that there are a number of victims out there who have also had property taken from their houses or cars on top of these.

“If you think any of the items could be yours, or you think you’ve potentially been a victim of a theft in the Plungington area, please let us know.”

DC Singleton said: “We think that a man, possibly in his fifties, may have seen two men being chased by another male at around 6am that morning. He will have been walking on Plungington Road in the direction of Blackpool Road and we are keen to speak to him as we think that this could be linked to a theft from a house on Boundary Road where televisions and electrical items were stolen.”
