Pedestrian hurt in Guild Way collision in Preston

Part of the Guild Way has been closed near Preston city centre.

A 37-year-old male pedestrian has been involved in a collision with a blue Citreon DS3.

The incident took place close to the junction with Marsh Lane at 4.15pm on Monday.

It is understood to have taken place on the side of the Guild Way heading out of the city centre towards Penwortham.

The North West Ambulance Service has attended.

The man, who is from the Preston area, is being treated for a suspected shoulder and arm in Royal Preston Hospital.

Motorists reported being stuck on the Ring Way for up to 40 minutes while the incident was cleared by emergency services.
