Fishergate road layout sent flying by driver

Part of the new Fishergate road layout has been knocked over once again.

On Sunday afternoon the mini roundabout feature was sent flying once more.

Andrew Slade posted a picture on Facebook with the comment: “It’s been knocked over again. Like to know how many time’s it’s been now!!!!!”

It’s claimed numerous front bumpers since it was installed and the traffic lights removed from the junction between Corporation Street and Fishergate.

Back in May, Lancashire Road Policing Unit said it was ‘only a matter of time’ before someone drove into the bollard – posting a picture of a car draped over the centre of it.

Over Christmas the traffic congestion in Preston city centre saw the county council have to call in traffic wardens with stop-go signals to control traffic.
