Four men have been arrested after a student was found unconscious in Preston city centre.
AdvertisementPreston Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident which left a man with facial fractures.
The 22-year-old man was found in Cheapside near the Flag Market at 4.15am on Saturday.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital and treated for bruising to hsi face, head and body.
Detective Constable Corina Barton, of Preston Police, said: “This was a nasty attack on someone simply trying to enjoy a night out.
“The victim received serious injuries as a result of this attack and we are appealing to anybody who saw it to contact us.”
Three men aged 21, 19 and 18 from Preston have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent along with an 18-year-old from London who was arrested on suspicion of the same offence. All four have been released on bail until Friday 1 April.
