Blog Preston readers have been contacting us about the brook which is normally a peaceful trickle.

It is now a raging torrent of water and Chris Burscough shows it at Black Bull Lane.

A building site, which includes a new bridge over the Brook, is nearly submerged by the brown murky water.

Footage below from Kim Horton shows Savick Brook raging near Sharoe Green Lane.

Meanwhile in Haslam Park the brook has burst its banks and is beginning to flood large areas of the park.
