Preston’s Christmas bin collections are set for their annual festive disruption.
AdvertisementOn Christmas Day, Monday 28 December and New Year’s Day there will be no bin pick ups undertaken by Preston City Council.
Any households with bin collections on these days need to visit the council website to find when their new bin collections take place.
Recycling collections are also affected and households are being urged to put out any additional recycling in untied carrier bags.
Brown bin collections have already stopped, with the final pick up being on Friday 11 December, and they do not resume until Monday 11 January.
The city council will pick up:
– Christmas wrapping paper
– Christmas cards
– Tin foil
– Leftovers from Christmas dinner
No details have been announced yet of recycling points for Christmas trees.
