Beautiful Planet will throw open its doors

A Preston city centre cafe is to open its doors to those with nowhere to go this Christmas.

From 2pm on Christmas Day volunteers are to man the Beautiful Planet cafe in Friargate.

Josh Durham is one of the team behind the event.

The 18-year-old from Ashton-on-Ribble said: “We did it last year and it was a great success.

“Anyone can attend, homeless people or anyone with nowhere to go.”

Hot food is served for free along with tea and coffee.

There is no set time for when the cafe closes.
