Christmas opening times for Preston Market, Fulwood and West View Leisure Centres and Harris Museum

The Christmas opening times for a number of buildings operated by Preston City Council have been released.

There’s a big shutdown of council buildings throughout the festive period.

Preston Town Hall closes from 2pm on Christmas Eve and does not reopen until Monday 4 January at 9am.

The Harris Museum and Art Gallery has limited opening times.

It shuts at 2pm on Christmas Eve and reopens on Tuesday 29 December at 10am.

It’s then open until 5pm on that Tuesday and the same opening times on Wednesday 31 December.

The Harris returns to normal opening from Saturday 2 January.

Fulwood Leisure Centre and West View Leisure Centre have also released their opening hours.

Fulwood is open:
Christmas Eve, 6.30am to 2pm
Closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day
Sunday 27 December, 8am to 4pm
Monday 28 December, 6.30am to 2pm
Tuesday 29 December, 6.30am to 2pm
Wednesday 30 December, 6.30am to 2pm
Closed New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
Returns to normal opening hours on Saturday 2 January

West View is open:
Closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day
Sunday 27 December, 8am to 4pm
Monday 28 December, 6.30am to 4pm
Tuesday 29 December, 6.30am to 4pm
Wednesday 30 December, 6.30am to 4pm
New Year’s Eve, 6.30am to 2pm
Closed New Year’s Day
Returns to normal opening hours on Saturday 2 January

Preston Market has slightly varied opening times during the Christmas period
Christmas Eve, 8am to 4pm
Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Sunday 27 Dec and Mon 28 Dec
Tuesday 29 December, 8am to 5pm
Wednesday 30 December, 8am to 5pm
New Year’s Eve, 8am to 4pm
Closed New Year’s Day
Returns to normal opening hours on Saturday 2 January
