Hurst Grange Park in Penwortham will be cleaned up by young adults as part of the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.
AdvertisementThe NCS is a voluntary development programme to help personal and social development amongst those aged 16 and 17.
The park will be cleaned between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, November 21.
The aim is to collect litter, create and shape a path through the woodland and decorate the area to help forge and pleasant and welcoming place for the local community.
The clean-up will be carried out by a team of nine known as Team Edwards.
Charlie Smith, team director of Team Edwards, said:
“In taking part in NCS, I have gained so much confidence and have developed my skills of working in a team.
“I am looking forward to helping out Hurst Grange Park because it gives me a chance to give something back to the community.”
