Iconic images and people of Preston are celebrated in a new set of prints about the city.
AdvertisementPreston-based illustrator David Robinson, 35, who has created some popular Sir Tom Finney cartoons in the past, has a new range about Preston up for sale.
The 35-year-old said his inspiration came from requests by friends
He said: “I did them last year for the Harris Open. I had loads of people asking about them. Because of the tourist information centre closing there isn’t masses of these types of things available anymore.
“So I just decided I’d do these three and see how they go.”
The first celebrates historic facts and trivia about Preston and includes some of its key place names and monuments.
A second is a colourful collage of major buildings in the city from St Walburge’s Church to Preston Bus Station.
The final print is a cartoon cover celebrating the life of Preston North End legend Sir Tom Finney.
The prints are available to buy priced £9.99 or £19.99 with a frame. There are around 250 available.
