Work on the Euston Street play area and Jubilee Park in Lea has finished on a first stage of improvements.

The Jubilee Action Group – who have long lobbied for new facilities – are holding an opening event on Saturday 7 November from 11am.

New landscaping has been completed and a new kids playground introduced with a basket swing, gyrospiral, roundabouts, slide and a balance trial.

Further funding is currently being sought for trees and shrub planting in Jubilee Park along with adding a zip wire.
