Jubilee Park as it was and how it is now

Two Preston parks have been radically improved with new play areas for children.

Work on the Euston Street play area and Jubilee Park in Lea has finished on a first stage of improvements.

The Jubilee Action Group – who have long lobbied for new facilities – are holding an opening event on Saturday 7 November from 11am.

New landscaping has been completed and a new kids playground introduced with a basket swing, gyrospiral, roundabouts, slide and a balance trial.

Further funding is currently being sought for trees and shrub planting in Jubilee Park along with adding a zip wire.
