You can win £1,000 for the Christmas period just by taking a selfie at the St George’s Centre.

From now until December 20 you need to take a picture in front of the St George’s Centre Christmas scene and submit it online.

The scene is in a window near the Christmas grotto on the upper Friargate Mall, with hats to indicate where your head should go.

Andrew Stringer, general manager of St George’s, said: “Christmas can be an expensive time and we wanted to provide an opportunity for a local family to have a stress-free celebration on us.

“The competition is something fun for all the family to enjoy during their festive shopping visits and the prize will make this Christmas memorable for our winner.”
