Not sure on where the Broughton Bypass is going to run?

A fly-through video gives an overhead look at how the new road will cut through the fields surrounding Broughton. If you’re on our app, click here to view the video.

The bypass is to run 2km in length and leaves the A6 just north of the Broughton crossroads.

It then links in with Whittingham Lane at a roundabout before coming down to join D’urton Lane and the M55/A6 roundabout.

Lancashire County Council has bought up a swathe of land for the route.

Construction on the bypass is due to start before Christmas and it is expected to be open in Spring 2017.
