Preston Police have issued a dispersal order across parts of Ribbleton after officers were attacked with fireworks.
AdvertisementInspector Paul McLernon has appealed for the incidents to stop before “someone is seriously injured”.
Police were called out on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to deal with incidents involving youths throwing fireworks at members of the public and then turning their aim on police officers.
A statement on Friday from Preston Police said: “This has to stop before someone is seriously injured and I would appeal for those teenagers involved to think about how their actions affect others.
“As a result of the latest information I am again issuing a dispersal notice for the area. Parents of those teens dispersed already are being visited today to make them aware of what is happening and to hopefully get them to take responsibility for their children.”
Police confirmed one youth had been arrested for breaching the dispersal order for a second night it a row and was due to appear at Preston Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
