Police are appealing to trace a man after a woman was ‘touched inappropriately’ on her way home in Penwortham.

The 50-year-old victim was dropped off by a taxi near to Manor Avenue between 1am to 1.50am on Sunday 4 October.

As she made her way along the road she was approached from behind and pushed forward.

The offender reached down and touched her chest inappropriately over the top of her clothing.

The victim screamed and the man, described as dark skinned and wearing dark tracksuits bottoms, ran off.

DC 1902 Corina Barton from Preston CID said: “We know from our CCTV enquiries that there were people in the Manor Avenue area at the time and so I am asking those individuals to come forward and speak to us as they may have some key information.”
