Months of snow and icy conditions expected in Preston this winter

An early weather warning has been put in place for the UK as months of heavy snow and arctic conditions are forecast.

While it may be feeling cold already, temperatures are expected to drop as the months of “freak weather” is expected to arrive after a combination of arctic conditions and changes in air pressure.

The forecast is expecting snow to start to fall in December, and could last until March with experts predicting the worst winter in half a century. With the icy air though, the earliest drop of snow could fall as early as November.

The predictions are in place for the whole of the UK, with frost and the coldest temperatures expected first in Scotland according to The Weather Channel.
