A woman riding a mobility scooter has been injured following a collision in Ribbleton.

Preston Police have closed the road between Farringdon Lane and Ribbleton Hall Drive.

The incident, which has left the 77-year-old woman with two suspected broken legs and a head injury, took place around 6.30am on Tuesday.

The woman was driving a mobility scotter in Ribbleton Avenue when it collided with a silver Peugeot.

Police say the woman’s condition is critical.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting log number 0144 of October 20.
