A woman is wanted by Preston Police after a pensioner had her purse swiped in a city centre discount store.

While an 82-year-old woman was loading her shopping into a bag in B&M Bargains her leather purse was taken.

It contained the woman’s money and cards, and is small black purse with a red polka dot design which had been hand decorated.

The incident happened at the Lancaster Road shop around 12.30pm on Monday 7 September.

Police have released CCTV images of a woman, with a young child, wearing a head scarf and dressed in black who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
