Lancashire Police are urging Prestonians to register for their chance to go behind the scenes at their Hutton headquarters.
Behind the Badge Day has already seen the Sunday of the two-day event sold out.
The free event gives the public a chance to see how the police operate, meet the police dogs and see all the kit and vehicles used for crime-fighting.
Chief Constable Steve Finnigan said: “Events such as these are vital in building up openness, trust, understanding and confidence in our communities and better still, this one is being paid for by the criminals themselves.
“The day will provide local people with the opportunity to speak to officers and police staff from many different areas of policing, including Neighbourhood Policing, Rural and Wildlife Crime, the Special Constabulary, Armed Response, Mounted Branch, the Dog Unit and Public Protection.
“We hope, as well as being a lot of fun for visitors of all ages, that the day will give people a real insight into policing, as well as demonstrate our commitment to Lancashire which includes 24/7 policing, local policing and the investigation of serious crime.”
Tickets are still available for Saturday 3 October, although parking spaces are now full.
Anyone can register via the Behind the Badge Eventbrite page.
