The Smiling Alice’s Autumn Fair is set to take over the Flag Market this Saturday October 3, with a family fun day of activities.
AdvertisementThe Autumn Fair will see a fun fair, cake stalls, ice cream, games and a bouncy castle in order to raise money for the appeal which was set up Alice’s mother, Lindsay.
Alice suffers from a rare chromosome disorder and the agenesis of the corpus callosum, which means there is no bridge in the brain. The appeal coincides with Rock FM Cash for Kids, which is the official charity for the local station.
Fundraising activities in the past have seen an Evening of Song be held at the Continental, and even a charity skydive.
Lindsay said, “What we want to do is try to raise money for sensory equipment for Alice and also money left we want to give to Cash for Kids. That’s our goal. We raise money for Alice if she needs anything and anything left goes to them because they’ve done so much for us.”
