Toddler injured in Deepdale collision on road to recovery

The parents of a toddler hurt in a collision in Deepdale have said he is making a “slow recovery.”

Sahal Ibrahim, two, was injured in the incident involving a green Fiat Punto at the junction of St Phillips Road and Deepdale Road where it joins St George’s Road.

The Darwen boy was taken to Royal Preston Hospital before being transferred to Manchester Children’s Hospital for treatment after the collision on Wednesday 5 August.

His parents said: “Little Sahal is out of imminent danger. He is under heavy observation but is making a slow recovery.

“We would like to thank everyone who has been involved.”

Preston Police continue to appeal for witneses to the incident.
