St Walburge’s presbytery has been targeted Pic: Paul Melling

A church presbytery has been broken into in the University area overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the window at the St Walburges Church was forced open.

A quantity of money was taken sometime between 11pm on Wednesday 5 August and 6am on Thursday 7 August.

Anyone with information is asked to call Preston Police on 101.
