Four-time World Superbikes champion Carl Fogarty is revving up his support for a Lancashire charity ahead of his visit to Preston.
Fogarty and former British biking champion James Whitham are performing at the Guild Hall in September.
First they will make a pit-stop at Derian House in Chorley to meet children and help raise funds for the hospice.
Fogarty and Whitham have also announced they will be running a raffle on the night of their Preston date to raise money for Derian.
The biking superstar from Blackburn said: “The people behind Derian House do some amazing work and we couldn’t think of a better cause to get involved with. Our aim is to raise as much money as we possibly can through the charity raffle and hopefully highlight the charity’s good deeds in the process.
“Whit and I are really looking forward to coming to Preston. We’ve been touring for a few years now but we’ve never played in this part of Lancashire. Derian House volunteers will be selling raffle tickets at Tesco in Chorley on Saturday 8th August, with the winners receiving a pair of VIP tickets to the show at the Guild Hall, and the chance to meet me and Whit backstage.”
The comedy chat show featuring the pair at the Guild Hall is taking place on Wednesday 23 September.
John Rullo, fundraiser at Derian House, said: “We’re really pleased that Carl and his team chose to support us and we know that our children will be thrilled to receive a visit from the four-time champion. We hope the night is a real success and obviously the more people who support the raffle, the better.”
