Four fire crews have been tackling a fire in the roof of a house in the Plungington area of the city.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called out to reports of a fire in Moor Hall Street, off Ripon Street at 1.06pm on Friday.

A spokesman for the fire service said they had stopped the fire spreading to adjoining properties.

No one has been reported trapped and no one injured.

Two additional fire engines were sent to the scene to assist with containing the fire.
