After the disastrous Tithebarn project it appears a smaller-scale redevelopment of the city centre via Preston Markets and the Youth Zone at the Bus Station will take place.
Up the road at the university there’s some major student flats going up and UCLan itself is readying to invest in its home roots after being burned trying to invest abroad.
The North West Preston Masterplan is now adopted and new roads and housing is due to be built in swathes across the green fields near Cottam, Woodplumpton and Fulwood.
Preston by 2020 may look a very different place.
