Jeremy Corbyn will give a speech at the Continental pub Pic: Garry Knight

The man who could be the next leader of the Labour Party is paying a visit to a Preston pub this weekend.

Jeremy Corbyn, the left-winger, is currently the bookies favourite to take over from Ed Miliband and lead Labour.

The MP for Islington North will speak at The Continental pub in South Meadow Lane from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday.

A Facebook event states: “This will be a great opportunity to hear Jeremy speak about the ideas he is standing for in this election and you will be able to meet other activists and find out how to get involved in the campaign.”

The event is free and already more than 100 people have indicated they will attend.

Preston Labour Party has nominated Corbyn as their preferred candidate for leader.
