Family Care is holding an open day for potential foster carers

Bamber Bridge based fostering provider, Family Care, is seeking new foster parents in the Preston area as up to 1,000 children require a stable home in Lancashire.

The firm is holding a drop-in event later this month to encourage more people to become foster carers. As well as hoping to recruit new carers, the event hopes to raise awareness and inform of the services available to anyone interested. Current foster carers will also be on hand to offer advice.

Anyone over the age of 21 can become a foster carer and Family Care stress that eligibility is not determined by age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability or relationship status.

The agency is based on School Lane and people are invited to attend with any questions on July 25 between 10am and 12pm.

For more information, call Family Care on freephone 0800 5677 677 or 01772 647500. Alternatively, email info@family-care.co.uk.
