An elderly woman who died in hospital after falling over while travelling on a bus in Preston has been named.

Edna White, 85, was on a double decker bus service in Sharoe Green lane when the incident happened.

Police say she got up out of her seat but when the bus set off again she fell backwards and struck her head.

She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital on Wednesday 3 June and died on Thursday 11 June.

Preston Police are still appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to call Lancashire Police on 101 quoting incident reference 731 of June 3rd.
