Lancashire County Council said the last full weekend of work would now take place from 8pm on Friday 26 June to 6am on Monday 29 June to allow the Caribbean Carnival to process along the route.

During this time only one side of the carriageway between North Road and Friargate is in use and both directions reduced to one lane.
