A 17 year old boy remains in a serious condition at Royal Preston Hospital after a collision between a car and a bike in Fulwood.

Cadley Causeway was closed for two hours on Friday from 9.15pm by Preston Police.

A spokeswoman for the police said they were called after a collision between a VW Sharon and a cyclist.

The cyclist has head, arm and leg injuries.

PC Howard Cooke from Preston Road Policing Unit said: “This boy was seriously injured after being catapulted on to a parked car as a result of being hit.

“I am asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information about it at all to get in contact.”
