Wainhomes North West have tabled plans for fields off the A6 at Barton.

The 3.10 hectare site would hold 72 new homes with a new road off Garstang Road to access the development.

Outline plans have been drawn up showing an aerial view of how the new housing estate would look.

A number of the homes would back directly onto the West Coast Main Line.

The homes would be three to four bedroom homes each with their own individual gardens.

The full plans are available to view on the Preston City Council website.
