The Give a Gift appeal is looking for as many people as possible to join in their 30th anniversary event which takes place exactly one week from today on June 6.

Redrow Homes are sponsoring the event for the first time this year, which currently has just over 700 people signed up. The participants will walk a 16 mile route in purple t-shirts, decorated with memories, photos and names of loved ones.

The new route is 3 miles longer this year, a year for each decade it is celebrating, but an 8 mile route is also available.

Lynne Whittaker, senior fundraiser at St Catherine’s Hospice, said, “This year’s T-shirts look fantastic and we’ve already had lots of compliments from walkers when they have picked them up.

“Having the support of Redrow through their sponsorship really does make a huge difference and we’re extremely grateful for their generosity. We’re delighted a group from the company will also be joining us on the night – it is a very special event for St Catherine’s which offers people a way to remember their loved ones, whilst doing something so positive and worthwhile for a local charity.”

The walk begins at 10pm, and more information can be found when you sign up from this link here.
