Preston Guild Hall has announced details of its panto for Christmas 2015.
AdvertisementSleeping Beauty is the choice for this year and the Guild Hall and Charter Theatre is going to be producing the show in-house.
Susan Burns, general manager at Guild Promotions, said: “We have plenty of surprises lined up which will be announced in due course. Suffice to say we are extremely excited about breaking away from the previous pattern of buying in pantos for the Charter Theatre.
“Producing Sleeping Beauty in-house means we will have more artistic control and can be as imaginative as we want. We intend to put on spectacular performance which is truly worthy of Proud Preston.”
This is the first panto to be held at the venue under Simon Rigby’s ownership.
The Guild Hall’s head of operations, Richard Simkin, said: “This decision was made after much discussion, and we hope to bring families and the community together to enjoy our first in-house production, which will be accompanied by a host of Christmas-themed activities. We look forward to seeing lots of excited children’s faces in the audience when we raise the curtain on our extra-special adaptation of Sleeping Beauty.”
The panto is to run from Monday 7 December 2015 to Saturday 2 January 2016.
Earlybird tickets are already on sale (until 31 May) with prices frozen at £12.50 for children, £15.50 for adults, group bookings £7.50 per ticket, schools £6.50 per ticket and a family ticket £47.50.
Full ticket details available on the Guild Hall website.
