A man and woman from Preston have been jailed as part of a drugs gang who operated in Chorley.
AdvertisementChenice Jackson, 22, of Birkett Drive, Ribbleton, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supplying cocaine and was jailed for two years and three months.
Josh Hampson (aka Killeen), 25, of Moor Park Avenue, Preston, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis and was jailed for two years.
It follows an investigation by Lancashire Police dubbed Operation Magnesium tracking drug dealers across the Chorley area between November 2013 and May 2014.
Ringleader, Lee Graham, 26, of Greenfield Road, Adlington, Chorley, was sentenced to four years in prison for supplying cocaine and cannabis.
Detective Inspector Nick Hills said: “I’m pleased with the sentences handed down by the judge – this should send a strong message to drug dealers and local communities alike that we absolutely won’t tolerate this type of criminality.
“Lee Graham was described in court as the ‘director’ of the business – his ‘business’ has blighted local communities for too long and it is right that he and others are now behind bars.
“We are dedicated to tackling drugs gangs, but we can’t do it alone. If anybody has any information about drugs and drug dealing in their local community please contact us so that we can work together to make your area a better place to live.”
Hampson and Jackson were jailed during the sentencing at Preston Crown Court between Monday 11 May and Wednesday 13 May.
