Preston Town Hall has stayed red as it was a case of status quo in the local elections.
AdvertisementLabour remained in charge at Preston City Council as no seats changed hands in the city.
John Wilson, the man who led the campaign to Save Preston Bus Station, stood for Labour in the College ward and narrowly lost.
Incumbunt Harry Seddon held on for the Conservatives by 50 votes. His majority slashed from 2011 when it was 1,336.
Another close fight was in Ingol where the Lib Dems just held on. Peter Pringle had stepped down leaving Jason Jeffrey to defend a majority of 157. It was reduced to just 13 votes by Labour’s John Rochford.
In Deepdale Labour’s Ismail Bax increased his majority from 430 to nearly 1,800 votes.
