Dr Jo Heaton-Marriott, UCLan public engagement manager, organises the annual UCLan festival.

She said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. The Lancashire Science Festival has become such an important date in the community calendar; it’s all about bringing science, technology, engineering and mathematical subjects to life and allowing everyone to take part.

“The festival has gone from strength to strength each year and being shortlisted for this award is recognition of the hard work, creativity and passion that staff and students put into this event, year on year.”

This year’s science festival takes place from Thursday 25 June to Saturday 27 June.
