What was the former Moka Express in Theatre Street, Preston is being transformed into a fabulous new restaurant which will become Theatre Street Bar & Grill. The former Moka is being extended through to an adjacent property which was known as the Young Peoples Advice Centre.
The original cafe section will be used as a dining bar area for lunch times and will accommodate sixteen persons. The extended part will become the main restaurant dining area which will seat sixty persons.
Head chef & Proprietor, Chris Maughan said that he wants this restaurant to be a place for people to dine and enjoy the ethos of modern and tasteful surroundings, an eatery where you don’t need to feel rushed and will be able to take your time and simply enjoy delicious, expertly prepared food in the heart of Preston without the need to travel very far from home.
When fully up-and-running, we will have three persons working in the kitchen and around six more service staff.
The restaurant will be open from Tuesday through to Saturday for lunch 11:30am – 4:30 pm and for dinner 5.00 pm – 10.00 pm and will be licensed to serve alcohol from 11.30 am until 11.00 pm.
You can view the Theatre Street Bar & Grill website (currently under construction) and gain an idea of what the restaurant is going to be all about, which is based wholly on good food and service.
The restaurant has a Facebook page where you can follow the work in progress which is expected to take until the end of June 2015. Also, check out @tsbg123 on Twitter to see the latest news.
