A board games venue in Preston has scooped three months worth of advertising on Blog Preston after entering a competition.
AdvertisementWe set up a response to the city being branded the unhealthiest high street in the land by offering independent businesses a chance to promote themselves.
Four shortlisted businesses went up to a public vote and hundreds of Prestonians cast their votes – with Harlequins on Manchester Road coming out on top.
It is a place for Warhammer and other roleplaying game enthusiasts to meet and play their table top games.
Thomas Davies from the shop said: “We are over the moon to have won by 58% of the vote and would like to thank everyone who voted for us.
“I am a very proud Prestonian and the article that sparked this competition has misrepresented the city very much and we will do anything we can to set people right about Preston.
“We hope that readers of Blog Preston can come down and see for themselves why people like Harlequins so much and look forward to seeing them.”
Harlquins are now taking advantage of their three months of free advertising to reach more than 60,000 Prestonians a month who read Blog Preston as well as use our app.
