This time last week the headlines were dominated with how Preston had the unhealthiest high street in the land.

We went on the defensive with a piece in the Guardian outlining how it wasn’t as bad as the study made out – while at the same time recognising there was still much to do in the city.

One thing we feel passionate about is supporting independent traders in the city centre.

They were identified in the report as being important to a vibrant city centre, and we agree.

So we’ve decided to do something about it. A lot of independent businesses struggle with gaining the same exposure as national chains, so we’re offering a chance for one independent trader to put themselves in front of tens of thousands of Prestonians each month on our site.
