Holidaymakers heading to Lake District for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend have brought the M6 to a crawl past Preston.

Highways England has been reporting delays of more than an hour between Junction 29 at Preston and Junction 34 past Lancaster.

Normal traffic conditions are expected by around 6pm on Good Friday.
