Another great movie showing event in Preston by the Blackout Film Project

Due to the success of their launch event showing of the film Birdman, at Roper Hall in March, the Blackout Film Project are all set to present a further film there on Friday, 24 April which will be the Academy Award winning ‘Boyhood’; this is the story of the joys and pitfalls of growing up are seen through the eyes of a child, directed by foremost American director/screenwriter, Richard Linklater.

Alan Livesey (coordinating director) said “We were absolutely delighted with public response to our recent launch event and very much looking forward to our showing of the film ‘Boyhood’ on 24 April. The whole production team are extremely excited to know that so many people are discovering the Blackout Film Project and what it’s all about.

“Once again, along with our free signature ‘Champagne Sunset Cocktails’ we’ll be having, Live Music, Gourmet Popcorn, Pick & Mix Sweets, Interactive ‘Kidstuff’ and a Great Raffle.

Alan and Su have both recently been interviewed on Preston FM and on Thursday 16 April on BBC Radio Lancashire (1hr 22mins into the programme) to promote the Blackout Film Project and to talk about the concept of the film and the reason it came about.
