The Preston based feature film making team, the  Blackout Film Project, are to start of their crowdfunding campaign with a celebratory showing of the Academy Award winning movie, Birdman which will be shown later this month at Roper Hall on Friargate in Preston.

Alan Livesey,  the coordinating director of the Blackout Film Project, said, “We are very excited about this event and feel that this is a great opportunity for people to find out what the project is and what it will mean to Preston.

“We’ve had a pair of 14ct gold and pearl earrings donated by Janet Barber Goldsmith to auction at our fundraiser; we’re so humbled by everyone’s generosity and are really looking forward to this event”.

Janet Barber is a Goldsmith and Jeweller. Having received a 1st class honours degree from Loughborough University, Janet creates bespoke creations as well as unusual production ranges available to the individual and retailers of fine quality jewellery and gifts.
Her work has been exhibited round the world and even on the BBC! She has been commissioned and created the Jewellery for several films, the most recent being for Meryl Streep in the Iron Lady.
Three will be a silent auction for these unique earrings at our fundraiser on March 27th.
