Nightclub bosses at one of Preston’s largest clubs are looking to extend their serving times by up to two hours a night.
AdvertisementPopworld on Church Street wants to serve until 4am every night of the week – and open until 4.30am.
Currently the club can serve until 2am on Sundays to Thursdays and until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Doors must be closed by 2.30am on Sunday to Thursday and by 3.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Now the club, owned by the Stonegate Pub Company, has applied to open until 4.30am every night of the week if it chooses.
It also wants to play live or recorded music until 4am each night.
Popworld has also applied to amend the current requirements it has over the number of doorman who must be on between certain times of the night.
The application to amend the licence will go to Preston City Council’s licensing committee for a decision.
