Now the club, owned by the Stonegate Pub Company, has applied to open until 4.30am every night of the week if it chooses.

It also wants to play live or recorded music until 4am each night.

Popworld has also applied to amend the current requirements it has over the number of doorman who must be on between certain times of the night.

The application to amend the licence will go to Preston City Council’s licensing committee for a decision.
