Recently acquired and digitised photos of 1980’s Preston have now been released which is sure to invoke great nostalgia to the people who recall those bygone happy times, when bands like Duran Duran, Queen, Bon Jovi, U2, The Police, The Smiths and Depeche Mode among many others were constantly in the top ten music charts. When Margaret Thatcher ruled in Downing Street and programmes such as Knight Rider, A-Team, Hill Street Blues, Dynasty and Grange Hill were all favourites on your TV screen.
This series of Preston scenes, streets and buildings which most of you of a certain age will no doubt recognise and is bound to be a trip down memory lane for all you eighties children and New Romantics.
We hope that you have enjoyed looking back twenty-five to thirty years ago. Yes! That is what it has been, surprising isn’t it?
