The date for a free tribute festival in Preston has now been announced.
AdvertisementOn July 4th and 5th, Moor Park will host the Rockprest festival, courtesy of UK Tribute Fesitvals, the company responsible for the annual Festwich festival. Tribute bands from all over the globe will fill the park in Preston in the summer of 2015.
The event will be free to attend and organisers are expecting tickets to go in record time.
The curator of the festival, Jools Taylor has said: “We are just finalising the line up – it’s a really good line up. People seem really excited about it. We have been inundated with emails.”
Organisers in Preston are set to deliver 2 days of events, with over 30 acts. The festival will be aimed at all ages. Not only will three stages host live music, but Moor Park will also be filled with thrill rides, children’s rides, a market area and food and beer tents that will cater for everyone.
The Councillor for Moor Park, David Borrow said: “Moor Park is a huge space in the middle of the city, accessible to people across the city and I’m sure the people of Preston will have a wonderful day.”
Tickets will be limited to only 8 per person per day and will not be available on the gates.
