A Good Samaritan who gave a lift to an injured man is being asked to come forward.
AdvertisementPreston Police say a 40 year old man was picked up by the motorist on New Hall Lane, Fishwick, just beyond the Esso Garage.
The man, who was sporting a small cut to his head and an injury to his lower back, was dropped off at the corner of New Hall Lane and St Mary’s Street.
Detectives believe the victim was robbed and assaulted earlier on Friday 23 January.
The motorist is described as having short grey or white hair and was driving a blue car.
DC Jane Thomas of Preston CID said: “We are keen to trace the Good Samaritan who offered the man a lift and anyone who was driving along Brockholes Brow or New Hall Lane travelling into Preston on Friday between 11am and 12.30pm who may have seen the man at the side of the road.”
