Lancashire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to regarding sexual assault.

The victim, a 22-year old woman, was inappropriately grabbed by a man inside the Lanvin takeaway on Church Street on Saturday November 29.

It is believed that he had a foreign accent, possibly Eastern European.

PC Luke Newman said: “We are treating this as a sexual assault and so if anyone recognises the man on the CCTV stills or indeed if they were in the takeaway when this incident took place, I would ask them to get in touch.”

Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting incident number 264 of 29 November 2014.

Alternatively, they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
