Daniele Baron’s picture of the station triggered many other Blog Preston readers to send in their pictures on Tuesday

Mornings in Preston can often be drab and dreary affairs but this week has seen some stunning skies.

Reds, purples, oranges and yellows have been against an almost dark blue backdrop captured by many Prestonians looking up.

Many a Preston resident has been heard to stop and marvel at the sight above us on Tuesday morning.

And even more got out their cameras or phones to take a picture of the apocalyptic skies they saw.
