New Year’s Eve is looming on the calendar.

If you’re heading into Preston to celebrate the dawn on 2015, you’ll want to plan your night out early.

Here’s some of the finest options available for decadence and welcoming the next 365 days.

The Ferret
The Templebys & DJ Ian Williams
20:00 / Free entry

The Templebys are one of Preston’s most well-known bands and sure to go down well with any audience, no matter the level of familiarity. Ian Williams will follow with some of the best celebratory tunes. It is also that very rare thing for New Year’s Eve, free entry.

Evoque
Winter Wonderland
22:30 / £5-£10

Another option is to head down to Evoque, who have guaranteed that they will sell out the venue on New Year’s Eve. You can also invest in the VIP experience for £100 which includes a booth, entry for eight quests and a bottle of Ciroc Vodka.

Club 53
Dark-cide New Year’s Eve Party
22:00 / £6.50 early

The last ever night at 53 Degrees, but not really because they’re carrying on a little bit next year. It’s still a huge event. Probably the only night in Preston where you will get your goth fix on New Year’s Eve.

Guild Hall
Last night of the Preston Proms 2014
21:30 / £28.50 – £39.50

If you want to avoid the dancefloors (and who could blame you) then this could well be the event for you. Classic tunes will be combined with a traditional midnight welcome to 2015 and, most impressively, indoor fireworks. Then again, it’s the priciest option on this list too.

Rift Bar
House Party
22:00 / £5

Want a house party but also feel like you should be heading out to see in 2015? This is probably the one for you. The huge bonus is that you’ve got nothing to clean up in the morning when you’re nursing your hangover.

Preston Marriott Hotel
New Year’s Eve Children’s Extravaganza
19:30 / £49.50 for adults & £27.50 for children aged 5-12

As part of this package you’ll be able to save money on the babysitter and get a three course meal. You can also add accommodation for £45 per person by quoting the booking code “EVE”. If the Guild Hall night sounded great but you need to keep the kids busy, then head to the Marriott.
